At the time of the blaze Jamestown Police asked residents to avoid travel in the area.

The Jamestown Board of Public Utilities says discolored water is likely on the east side of the city over the next 12 to 24 hours as a result of the blaze.

The use of hydrants pulls water through the lines quickly, stirring and discoloring water.
