State Police Release Victim’s Name In Tuesday Morning Shooting


CHERRY CREEK – The New York State Police have released the name of the victim in Tuesday morning’s shooting on Route 83.

Police said Nelson Noble, 53, of Cherry Creek, was shot multiple times at the Noble Farm. In addition, police said that Noble was the only victim.





Noble was taken by Mercy Flight to ECMC in Buffalo, where he is reportedly in guarded condition.

Pine Valley Central School was closed Tuesday for what police said was “precautionary measures” due to the proximity to the shooting, but the incident isn’t reportedly believed to further endanger the community or the school.

The Bureau of Criminal Investigation are in early stages of the investigation, and more information will be available as the investigation continues.
